Question: What makes Cutting Edge Poly's products better than the competition?
Answer: Cutting Edge Poly uses the best wearable polymers on the market. While many companies choose to use a poured polyurethane, Cutting Edge Poly has committed to their customers to provide the best, longest lasting and most efficient wearable polymers made. Our blend of extruded polyethylene will outperform and outlast any polymers on the market. Our blend doesn't break, crack or fall apart like many of our competitors products.
Question: Is your material easy to drill and cut?
Answer: Our material drills with standard steel drill bits. While many of our tools are industrial, this material can be cut with normal wood cutting tools. We do however recommend extra care to clamp these materials down securely when cutting.
Question: How are Polar Plows different than other plows in the market?
Answer: While some of our competition has put serious engineering into their plows, many of the plows on the market are simply underbuilt for their application. Polar Plows has built plows for the commercial market. Our design team has built the most versatile plows in the market. Our plows all start at 4' and have 10" wings and 12" sections to customize your plow. We have color options and our skins come off with a few bolts. If you damage your plow skin, we have you covered. It is easy and inexpensive to make your plow look new again. Every plow we have comes with the option of standard skid steer quick attach, mini oscillating quick attach and clamp-on versions. Each attachment is interchangeable with the main plows so if you ever change your equipment, we made it easy to switch hookup options with one bolt. We also put our industrial grade poly edges on every plow so you can rest assured that your plow won't leave rust and damage your sidewalks, parking lots or driveways like steel edge plows.
Question: How well do your poly edger blades hold up?
Answer: Our poly edger blades have been designed to avoid damage. Our polymers don't break apart like other plastics. They last very similar to steel but are quiet, non sparking and are designed to avoid chipping or gouging your surface. These blades are now mandated in all national cemeteries in the US. They work on normal stick edgers with a 1 inch center hole. These are perfect for cemetery stones, aluminum edging, sidewalks, driveways, aggregate, pavers or stamped concrete.
Question: How long does it take for Cutting Edge Poly to ship my products?
Answer: As our current customers have come to find out, Cutting Edge Poly does everything possible to get online orders out as soon as possible. 90 percent of our orders are on the UPS trucks by the next day of order. Often, they are the same day. Custom work can take a couple days longer but we understand how important speed is and our goal is to impress our customers with extremely fast turn around.
Question: My bucket is scratching my driveway when I move dirt or mulch. Do you have any options to avoid this?
Answer: Cutting Edge Poly specializes in poly bucket edges. Nearly half of our sales are products to line the bottom of buckets. We offer bolt-on poly edges or clamp-on edges. Our clamp-on edges were designed for arenas that host monster trucks. However, many of our customers have found them to be a very slick way to throw on a quick poly edge over their bucket without removing their current edge. Our poly bucket edges hold up great. Many companies in this market are selling polyurethane bucket edges. These edges need steel to reinforce them. Once these polyurethane edges break, the steel becomes exposed and damage inevitably results. Our bucket edges are solid polyethylene and can handle the rigors of heavy use.
Question: Do your atv/utv edges last longer than the factory steel edges?
Answer: Our atv/utv edges are designed to outlast any factory atv/utv edges. They are quieter, non marring, and tend to float up over lawns where steel dig in.
Question: Will your snow blower poly shoes and poly edge fit my snow blower?
Answer: Our poly snow blower shoes are made with the most popular hole spacing. If you have 2.75 inches on center for your bolt holes then these should fit. The poly snow blower cutting edge is a flat un-drilled poly cutting edge that is universal for most blowers. They are 1/4 inch thick by 2.75 inches tall. The length depends on your order but can be trimmed to fit.
Question: Your Polar Plow for mini loaders says it oscillates. What does that mean?
Answer: Our Mini EX Polar Plow is made to follow the curve of the sidewalks or driveways. When you are plowing up and down handicap ramps for example, the Mini EX is designed to follow that inclines and declines so you don't leave excess snow.
